Fourth World Movement gatherings and workshops are forums for adults of different backgrounds to share their knowledge and skills in a joint commitment towards overcoming poverty. In an atmosphere of mutual respect and dignity, people share their struggles and successful efforts in areas of education, housing, family cohesion, employment, and other issues. These gatherings and workshops recognize everyone’s expertise, regardless of background. They increase public awareness and dialogue, and they provide forums for people in poverty to speak out and gain confidence in working with others to affect positive change.
